Switched my firewall at home to OpenBSD since iptables sucks compared to packet filter. I just love PF. I still have some problems though, if I dont bw limit in rtorrent I can’t get my speed in torrents. One of my goals with this switch was to handle limits with HFSC but no no.
Is it because bittorrent doesn’t like dropped packages or something? I can’t get linkshare to work either. If torrent-queue has linkshare around 500Kb and standard has 1Mb and standard has higher priority bittorrent still ‘wins’. Shouldn’t be like that, I should max out my standard queue and then fill up torrent queue until bandwidth is filled.
It works shit load better than with iptables and tc though and that’s good. That I like. Now I can use my line as I want without big troubles with SSH and stuff.
