I’m tired of nothing happening with F-Spot which I now use for handling my ~6000 pictures. F-Spot could be great but I miss too much (rating/search with operators and so on) so I’m thinking about switching to something else.
Kphotoalbum looks great, but the version in Ubuntu Drapper, which I use for my desktop box, is kimdaba 2.1 and latest version is 2.2 and renamed to Kphotoalbum. Therefore; taking the debian-dir from kimdaba and making an kphotoabum.deb and trying it for a day or two will give me the answer if kphotoalbum is my choice.
Things that I haven’t got working or found is; XMP-import in kphotoalbum, export from kphotoalbum to gallery (kipi-plugin have this, wont work in kimdaba 2.1). If this doesn’t work I’ll wait a bit longer before I do something.
